History can be edited. The fruit remains.
There comes a point when repeatedly explaining what can already be seen becomes exhausting.
Not because the truth is weak or the evidence is absent. Sometimes, people become so attached to a familiar narrative that they stop examining what has been visible all along.
History can preserve certain voices while pushing others into the margins. Records can omit. Categories can change. Names can be replaced. Entire lives can be reduced to paragraphs written from someone else’s perspective.
But the fruit is more difficult to conceal.
What happens when we stop judging people solely by the names they were given, the identities they claimed, or the stories written about them?
What happens when we look instead at what their presence produced?
What did they build when no one made room for them?
What did they create while doors were closed and resources were withheld?
Did their struggle widen the path to freedom for others?
When power became available, did they close the door behind them or hold it open?
These are not accusations. They are measurements.
Love leaves evidence.
Justice leaves evidence.
Courage, sacrifice, endurance, and restoration leave evidence.
So do greed, exploitation, domination, and indifference.
Everything eventually reveals what it has been rooted in.
This question sits at the center of my season-finale reflection, The Proof Is in the Fruit. I recorded it with a loving heart, a sound mind, and a clear head.
Some people may receive it as remembrance. Others may receive it as an invitation to look again.
Either way, the deeper reflection deserves to be heard in full, in the pauses, questions, and quiet spaces between the words.

This mini episode closes a season and a chapter of BTWN LVRS: The Heart and Soul Chronicles.
What comes next will be softer: brief stories for softer nights, brighter dreams, and remembering who you are.
The full reflection is waiting for you.
Listen with an open heart.
Then look at the fruit.
Tee~
